Police have confirmed that the trailer has been recovered.

Previously, mounties were investigating the theft of a cargo trailer in Crossfield that occurred early Friday morning between 2 and 4 a.m.

Police said that the cargo trailer was attached to a truck in a parking lot on Railway Street and Osler Avenue.

"Unknown suspects detached the trailer from the truck, attached it to another truck and departed with it. The locked cargo trailer contained a resident of Crossfield’s household effects. The resident had their effects in the trailer as they were in the process of moving," an RCMP press release stated/

Personal documents, furniture, tools, a drum set, and two gun safes were contained within the trailer. 18 firearms were locked inside the gun safes.
