Airdrie curler Aaron Sluchinski and his team are looking to complete one of their goals from the start of the season and qualify for the 2024 Montana's Brier by winning the 2024 Boston Pizza Cup (provincial championship).

The Boston Pizza Cup will be hosted by the Hinton Curling Club and the Town of Hinton in the Bill Thomson Arena at the Dr. Duncan Murray Recreation Centre on February 7-11.

"I know we're one of the top seeds going into provincials, we have the ability to come out on top."

While having such a successful season and strong showing at most of the tournaments they participated in, even if the team does not win the provincial championship, they still would have a chance to make the Brier as a wildcard team.

"It has been a  childhood dream. I still think it is the biggest curling event on the planet. I want to play in front of the big crowds in Regina."

The 2024 Montana's Brier is taking place in Regina Saskatchewan from March 1 - 10.

Sluchinski, the skip of the team has Jeremy Harty as the third, Kerr Drummond as the second and Dylan Webster as the lead. Sluchinski mentioned he is proud of how his team has performed this year.

Just recently the team returned from Tempe Arizona for their second-ever appearance at the Golden Wrench Classic as their final bonspiel before the provincial championship. They made it to the quarterfinals but unfortunately lost.

Currently, Team Sluchinski maintains the 16 spot in the world when it comes to men's curling teams. He is currently seventh in Alberta.

This year, Sluchisnki has attended many big-name events including three Grand Slam of Curling bonspiels and the PointsBet invitational at the start of the year.
