It was a special night yesterday (January 29) for Airdrie's Ty Rattie as he participated in the American Hockey League's All-Star Challenge in Utica, NY.

The All-Star Challenge was a tournament style event where all four divisions faced each other for the right to play in the final game that night.

Rattie was selected for the Pacific Division All-Stars as a result of his impressive season with the Bakersfield Condors.

In their first game, the Pacific team made it look easy as they took care the North Division 5-3.

Rattie would contribute an assist in their next game, a 4-3 win over Team Atlantic.

Rattie and the Pacific All-Stars then won their final game of the preliminary stage 4-3 over team Central, putting themselves in the final game of the night against team North.

In one of the closest All-Star finals in league history, Team North redeemed themselves with a 1-0 win over the Pacific.

With the All-Star Challenge wrapped up, Rattie and the Condors will be back to regular season action on Friday (February 2) against the Iowa Wild.
