Four women from Calgary have been charged in relation to an incident involving bear spray and attempted theft at an Airdrie store.

The incident occurred on March 31, 2020, around 6:30 P.M. RCMP say four women were seen sitting in a vehicle outside the Shoppers Drug Mart in Coopers Crossing. Investigators say two of the women got out of the vehicle and entered the store where they proceeded to fill two bags with perfume before attempting to leave without paying.

Mounties said store employees were able to get the perfume back and then followed the girls to their vehicle where RCMP said one of the females bear sprayed an employee. The women fled in the vehicle and a short time later were involved in a collision on the west end of the city where RCMP caught up with them and they were arrested.

Jasmine Holy-White-Man, 30, Tanisha Nippi, 22, Jadin Machiskinic, 18, and Lene Warrior, 21, are all facing charges of assault with a weapon and theft under $5,000. Their court appearances have all been scheduled for June 18th.
