Airdrie's Inter-City Express bus service to and from Calgary celebrated its first anniversary Tuesday and City of Airdrie staff greeted riders of the 6:30 am bus with an unexpected send-off. Commuters were handed a free chocolate bar and an Airdrie Transit squeezable bus to relieve stress. The City's Transit Coordinator, Chris MacIssac, says ridership continues to grow and explains why.

One rider Tuesday morning told us why she uses ICE.

On this first anniversary, Chris MacIssac says the City has seen a loyalty in those who take the ICE bus to work and a transit culture is starting to build in Airdrie.
