Yesterday (Tuesday, December 5), the International Olympic Committee confirmed that Russia will not be welcome to compete at the upcoming winter games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

The reason...an unprecedented amount of doping from athletes that have been under investigation for over a year.

What this means is that Russian Government officials will be banned from the games, but athletes that wish to complete will have to undergo significant drug testing and will compete as individuals without an identified country. They will wear neutral uniforms and will only have their name announced without any identification of their country if they medal.

How will Russia respond? Only time will tell.

Sit back, relax and watch the drama unfold.
