Airdrie's Elite Lightning teams were back on the ice to start the month last weekend (November 3-5) in the South Central Alberta Hockey League.

All four teams were in action but unfortunately not all of them came away with victories.

The Peewee Red fell in both their games, first on Saturday (November 4) to the Central Alberta Selects 8-2. Matthew Metcalfe and Tyson Sandhu scored the only goals of the game for Airdrie. Sunday's (November 5) game against the West Central Tigers didn't fare much better as Peewee Red fell 10-3. Despite the loss, Joseph Krukowski had a big game with two assists.

The Peewee White team only had one game over the weekend, losing 6-2 to the Wheatland Braves on Friday (November 3). Hunter Jaman and Talen Lewis scored for the Lightning in the loss.

The Bantam Lightning were very busy with two games over the weekend. Their first was a tough 5-3 loss to the Wheatland Warriors on Friday. Riley Westlund had 2 assists in the loss for the Lightning. The next day was a different story as the Bantam team held off a late push from the Olds Grizzlys to win 8-7. Hunter Burgeson and Zach Cormier had two goals each for the Lightning while Erik Thoreson was the helper of the evening with four assists.

The Midget AA Lightning hit the ice for one game on Saturday. Ricky Doucette continued his dominating performance so far this season with two goals in a 5-3 win over the West Central Tigers. The Midget Lightning have a weekday game on Wednesday night (November 8) while the rest of the pack have games on November 10 and 11.
