Update: Second structure fire in less than week

The scene has been cleared. 

In the early morning hours on Friday, August 12, the Airdrie Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the Chinook Gate area. Two homes that were under construction were engulfed in flames.

Fire crews were on the scene and the public was reminded to avoid the area. 

As the homes were unoccupied, no injuries were reported. A fire investigation is underway.

This is the second structure fire that the fire department has responded to in less than a week.
