The Foothills Bisons are running away with the competition in the Alberta Midget Hockey League.

After 6 games so far this year, the team is unbeaten, outscoring their opponents 28 to 10.

Their last match was their most dominant, beating the SSAC Athletics 11-2. The game included two goals from Airdrie native Tyler Petrie and another from fellow Airdronian and Saskatoon Blades prospect Brandon Machado.

Petrie is currently tied for the league lead in goals with seven while teammate Peyton Krebs of Milarville is atop the overall standings with 15 points.

Cochrane goaltender Ben Laidlaw has also contrubuted to the team's success, registering 3 wins and allowing fewer than 2 goals a game.

The Bisons will look to keep their unbeaten streak alive when they host the Leduc Oil Kings on Friday October 21st at 8pm.
