The Airdrie Sky High Twirlers are celebrating a successful weekend at the International Cup Qualifier in Saskatoon (May 19-22).

Each Airdrie athlete that competed in Saskatoon qualified for at least one event at the International Cup, and the club will take it's largest team to the International level with 16 athletes. All three of the club's group routines also qualified.

In Saskatoon, the Sky High Twirlers even took home some first place finishes. Taelyr Patton finished at the top of both the Solo Adult A and 2-Baton Adult A events, and Emily Lewall grabbed first place in the 3-Baton Junior B event.

Head Coach Loren Dermody says the team will now focus on preparing for the International Cup with heavy training until the end of July. The club will head to Porec, Croatia for the 2017 International Cup from August 7 to 13.
