EMS has confirmed that one individual was transported via STARS air ambulance to the Foothills Medical Centre, while another was transported via ground ambulance after a serious collision occurred Southeast of Airdrie on Tuesday afternoon.
Both individuals' conditions were listed as life-threatening, though there are no further details as to the age and gender of those injured.
EMS said they have since cleared the scene.
Previously, Airdrie Rural RCMP reported that they responded to a multi-vehicle collision at Highway 9 and Highway 564 - between Delacour and Delroy at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. One vehicle was identified as a semi-truck.
