Airdrie RCMP responded to thirteen false alarms between January 20th and 22nd.

Nine of the alarms originated from residential homes while four were from businesses.

Police would like to remind everyone of the Bylaw in place that addresses false alarms in our community.

A residential false alarm carries a fine of $75.00 while a false alarm for a business is $125.00.

Any subsequent infractions cost twice as much as the first violation. This means residences would be forced to pay $150.00 and businesses $250.00 provided they occur within one year.
