The residents at Cedarwood Station got a pleasant surprise yesterday (November 1st) from students at Cooper's Crossing School.

One of the Grade 3 classes spent the afternoon playing Card Bingo with the residents as part of a new program called Fresh Fridays.

Teacher Paul Holmes came up with the idea as a way to introduce his students to fresh ideas, opportunities and connections within the community.

Some other aspects of the program have included guest speakers and creating different foods from different cultures.

The class hopes to be at Cedarwood Station once a month for the remainder of the school year.
