The Red Deer Rebels have traded Airdrie's Taden Rattie.

Getting his WHL start with the Rebels in 2015, Rattie is heading to the Vancouver Giants.

"I want to thank the Red Deer Rebels for everything they have done for me. Looking forward to starting things up with the Giants." said Rattie via Twitter.

The Giants acquired the 6"4, 191 pound winger in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2017 draft.

Rattie brings a gritty offensive presence, and that's just what the Giants need.

"He brings us a bit an element that we didn't have, in regards to the physical side of the game and size up front." said Jason McKee, Head Coach, Vancouver Giants.

In his first appearance with the Giants, Rattie netted 1 goal against the Prince George Cougars.
