A successful Alberta Cup had its crowning moment for several members of the Airdrie Xtreme yesterday (April 29th).

Team Central was out to avenge their only loss of the tournament as they met up with Edmonton Yellow in the Championship Game.

In a gripping affair between the two teams, it all came down to just a couple goals.

Brett Moravec scored the first goal of the game which became the game-winner as Team Central won the Alberta Cup with a 2-0 win.

Goalie Drew Sim from OHA Edmonton Bantam was named the Player of The Game for Team Central after making 25 saves in the win.

It was also a good day for Keegan Slaney of the Xtreme who was named to the Alberta Cup All-Star Team, representing Central.
