Several weeks prior to his arrest, Airdrie RCMP warned the public after numerous women came forward to report they had been assaulted by a man on a bicycle.

The suspect would ride up past the women, slap or grab them in the buttocks, and ride away. The man was further accused of committing different sexual offences on foot.

Ferrier was initially charged with 18 offences. He made an appearance in Calgary provincial court late last month where the matter was resolved.

After entering guilty pleas to one count of sexual assault, two counts of assault, and four counts of voyeurism, Ferrier was sentenced.

He received a suspended sentence, meaning he was spared jail time and will serve 15 months of probation.

Ferrier will also be placed on the sex offender registry.
