The Thunder had an up-and-down year. The season started on the wrong foot, but some roster changes made during the Christmas break helped the team become younger and motivated as they picked things up during the second half of the season.

Finishing the regular season with a record of 11-23-4. They were able to sneak into the playoffs and sweep their first-round series against the Three Hills Thrashers before being eliminated by the Sylvan Lake Wranglers.

This season the Thunder had three final-year players, those being Tanner Chapman, Justin LeGrandeur and Brennan Lucas.

"Our graduating players did an unbelievable job bringing in the young guys and creating a culture that will help them for years to come."

After having exit meetings with each player on Sunday, Guest mentioned it sounds like most of the young players and second-year players will be back next year. This was also Guest's final year as General Manager; he stated he would miss being a part of the team but it is time for him to do his own thing.

"I hope whoever takes over the position definitely tries to keep the integrity and the direction that the club's going. I expect this team to be extremely competitive next year and even stronger the year after."

Guest finished off by stating he still loves the team and will continue to follow along with how they do and make sure to head down to the rink to watch them play.
