There are just hours left as the final 24 hours of the Ride of The Mustang kicked off this afternoon (March 28th).

To commemorate the start of the second half of the Ride, students and staff took part in the traditional head shave.

George McDougall students were even joined by Grade 2 students from Ecole Edwards School who shared their experiences.

“We’re pedalling to raise money for Cancer,” says Lotus, “I have been pedalling for 2 minutes on every bicycle,” says fellow student Levi.

Zane McLeod from the student leadership team says the community support has been tremendous.

“It’s amazing to watch the community come together over the months of preparation and then to see it all be shown off in one big event.”

The Ride of The Mustang will officially wrap up tomorrow at noon when the total will be announced.

McLeod hopes that they’ll be well on their way to eclipsing $1 million by their 10 year anniversary in 2010.
