It was definitely a slow start in last night's game for the Airdrie Techmation Thunder of the Heritage Junior Hockey League, but they were able to pull out the win.

The Thunder won game two of their semi-final series against the Mountain View Colts 2-1 to tie the series one apiece.

The Thunder were down 1-0 heading into the third period but late into the frame, Zach Couling was able to score the equalizer, around 30 seconds later, Kyle Shoemaker was able to beat the Colts goaltender for the game-winning goal making it 2-1.

The Thunder lost game one of the series 3-2 in triple overtime.

Game three of the series is Friday night at 8 p.m. at the Ron Ebbesen Arena here in Airdrie. The Thunder look to take a 2-1 series lead.

Today is a day off for all the teams still in the playoffs before everybody is back in action Friday.

The Sylvan Lake Wranglers hold a 1-0 series lead against the Rocky Rams. The Okotoks Carstar Bison had a 2-1 win last night to take the series lead 1-0 against the W, while the Cochrane Generals also hold a 1-0 series lead over the Medicine Hat Cubs.
