The Airdrie Thunder ran into a motivated Cochrane Generals team last night (November 18).

While the Thunder were coming off a victory over the Strathmore Wheatland Kings the night before, the Generals lost by a 7 - 2 margin to the Stettler Lightning.

That gave the Generals something to prove, and prove it they did, dumping the Thunder 5 - 2 in Cochrane.

Four members of the Generals had three point nights.  Slater Ransom and River Ross each scored twice and added and assist while Talus Hume and Austin Keller each had three assists.

Jared Bainbridge and Dante Raposo had goals for the Thunder who were outshot in the game 41 - 25.

The loss by Airdrie combined with a 7 - 0 win by the Red Deer Vipers over Strathmore means the Thunder are down to one point ahead of the Vipers at the top of the Heritage Junior Hockey League Northern Division.
