Clay Murray scored twice and added an assist for a three point night to lead the Airdrie Thunder to a 6 - 3 win over the High River Flyers last night (October 6th) at the Ron Ebbesen Arena in Airdrie.

Rylan Plante-Crough also collected three points on a goal and two assists.

Dylan Wenzel, Jared Bainbridge, and Austin O'Bray scored the other goals for the Thunder who held a narrow 43 - 40 edge in shots on goal.

The win moves Airdrie into first place in the Heritage Junior Hockey League's Northern Division with a 4 and 1 record.

Tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 pm the Thunder are in Stettler to face the Lightning. 

Also last night the Cochrane Generals scored a lopsided shutout win for the second game in a row as they pounded the Three Hills Thrashers 13 - 0.

Cochrane fired 79 shots on the Thrasher goal while Three Hills could only manage 10 shots. 

Last Saturday Cochrane beat up on Lacombe 8 - 0.
