A pair of local hockey players were on the losing end in last night's (January 23) action in the Western Hockey League.

Airdrie's Gary Haden assisted on the only goal for the Medicine Hat Tigers as they fell 4-1 to the Red Deer Rebels.

Meanwhile, Rocky View's Zachary Cox was held scoreless and was a -1 on the ice as the Lethbridge Hurricanes lost 7-3 to the Kootenay Ice.

Haden and Cox will be in action again tonight (January 24th) as well as Airdrie player Brandon Machado.

Machado and the Saskatoon Blades take on the Regina Pats at 6:00pm.

Cox and the Hurricanes play the Kelowna Rockets at 7:00pm, while Haden and the Tigers will try to rebound against the Edmonton Oil Kings at 7:00pm.
