It appears Airdrie's Ty Rattie's time with the Edmonton Oilers has come to an end.

Multiple reports out of the Alberta capital say the Oilers won't be extending a qualifying offer to Rattie which will make him an unrestricted free agent July 1st.

Rattie was called up by the Oilers for the final 14 games of the 2017-2018 season from the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League.  Rattie and Oilers superstar Connor McDavid seemed to click on the ice and Rattie ended the campaign by scoring 5 goals and adding 4 assists in those 14 games,

His performance earned him an extension in the summer of 2018.  This season, Rattie couldn't seem to earn himself a regular spot in the Oilers lineup.  He played just 50 of the team's 82 games and was often a healthy scratch.  He had just 4 goals and 7 assists.

The 26 year old Rattie originally came into the league in 2011 as the 32nd overall pick of the St. Louis Blues.  He's also spent time with the Carolina Hurricanes along with the Blues and Oilers.

The Oilers are also not sending a qualifying offer to German-born right-winger Tobias Rieder.
