For two Airdrie Hockey players, October 28th was a night to remember and forget.

For the second time this season Airdrie's Jordan McConnell and Austin Cameron faced each other in the battle of Calgary in the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

McConnell and the Calgary Canucks went into the game with the best record in the South Division.

When all was said and done, McConnell would help his team by scoring a goal in a 9-3 victory over Cameron and the Calgary Mustangs.

McConnell scored the final goal of the match with just 20 seconds left, while Cameron scored first for the Mustangs midway through the first period.

The Canucks would later move on to win their next match on October 29th against the Camrose Kodiaks 5-2.

It won't be much longer before McConnell and Cameron face each other again with round 4 of the Battle of Calgary set for Tuesday, November 8th.
