The W.H. Croxford Cavaliers remained perfect this season and are still ranked second in the province after downing Strathmore in their latest game.

The Cavs handed the Spartans a 26 - 14 to improve to 5 - 0 for the season.  In the latest Football Alberta rankings released today, Croxford remains the second-ranked team in Tier II for high schools with a population between 750 and 1,249 in the province.

The game was an exhibition contest so the Cavalier's record in the Rocky View High School Football League doesn't change, remaining at 4 - 0.  They're tied with the Cochrane Cobras who also ran their record to 4 - 0 this weekend when they beat the George McDougall Mustangs 35 - 21.  The Cobras are the top-ranked team in Tier III, schools between 450 and 749 student population.  The loss dropped the Mustangs from fifth to eighth in the Tier II rankings.

Elsewhere in the Rocky View league this weekend, Chestermere stopped Bow Valley 34 - 7.  No score was reported between Bert Church and Springbank from Saturday.

This week the Bow Valley Bobcats are in Airdrie to face the Mustangs in a game starting at 4:30 at Ed Eggerer Field.  In the other match-up, Cochrane is at Rundle Field to play the Springbank Phoenix.  W.H. Croxford is on their bye week.
