With the 2023 Provincial Election now in the past, one question that is being asked is, when do all the candidate election signs get picked up?

According to the government of Alberta and re-elected Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Angela Pitt, after election day, the clock starts ticking.

"It's 72 hours to pick up all the signs," explained Pitt.

The government of Alberta, the campaign office is responsible for installing and removing election signs.

According to Pitt, usually, the picking-up process goes fairly fast.

"In the past, we've been quite fortunate, people just go. Our supporters just go out with their pickup trucks, and they pick up the signs and they bring them back to the campaign office."

United Conservative Party (UCP) candidate Angela Pitt has been re-elected for a third term in office after claiming more votes against the opposition, New Democratic Party (NDP) candidate Dan Nelles.

Airdrie-Cochrane voters re-elected UCP Peter Guthrie while NDP Shaun Fluker finished in second.

UCP Nathan Cooper has also been re-elected for Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills.
