A big win against the Calgary Wolfpack produced excellence from the entire lineup but the Airdrie Irish have singled out three in particular as players of the game for their stellar performances.

According to Irish Team President and injured running back Connor Lutz, the team used a "committee approach" to their running game during the 48 - 29 win over the Wolfpack.  Leading that committee was Marshall Tailleur who was named Offensive Player of the Game in chewing up 74 yards on the ground during the victory.

On the defensive side of the ball, linebacker Tim "Maui" Larson made a total of three solo tackles, had one tackle for a loss, one sack, picked off one Wolfpack pass and returned it for a touchdown.  That work made Larson the team's Defensive Player of the Game.

Running back Peter Enola made his mark through his efforts returning kicks.  He piled up 86 total kick return yards and was named Special Teams Player of the Game.

The Irish are on their second bye week of the season this weekend and will return for their final regular season game on July 23rd when they face the Fort McMurray Monarchs in the oil city.

Airdrie is second in the Alberta Football League with a 3-1-1 record while Fort McMurray sits in fourth place at 2-2-0.
