Pavel Datsyuk and Valtteri Filppula scored 1:14 apart late in the third period to give the Detroit Red Wings a 5-3 victory over the Calgary Flames on Wednesday, November 23.

Late penalities were the difference as the game was tied until both Mark Giordano and Curtis Glencross gave the Wings a 5-3 advantage, which they capitalized on, twice. 

Jarome Iginla, Brendan Morrison and Olli Jokinen scored for Calgary. Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 25 shots.

The Flames next game is against the Blues in St. Louis on Friday, November 25. Game time is 6 pm.
