Stephen's Backpacks Society is introducing a new item they are selling to help fund all the projects they have underway: planter boxes.

To date,  Stephen's Backpack Society has refurnished over 34 homes and plenty of backpacks and running shoes, according to Nancy McPhee Director of Stephen's Backpack Society, also Stephens's mom.

"We've done over 90,000 backpacks, and over 17,000 pairs of running shoes for kids starting school as the needs are so great."

Recently the need for help has been higher than ever. To help with the cost of things, the society is now selling planter boxes and gourmet boards. The A-Team which includes Stephen and some other society members works out of the McPhee's garage to make these boards and pots.

"Everything is custom built. If you want custom orders, we can do any type of board[with] any type of wood you like, just come in and talk with us. One cutting board fills a backpack for those in need, so it's a real nice thing to get into," explained Jeff Dyck, who is the Director of the A-Team.

The planter boxes are a new project that they just started doing.

"We have these new styles of planter boxes, both indoor and outdoor, we have three sizes of indoor planters, and we have a large outdoor planter box. Each one of them is made of exotic hardwoods."

Stephen who has been running this charity with the help of his mom for 17 years is very proud to see how long the society has been going for. He also loves working on these woodworking projects as they are for a good cause which will help kids out. According to him, refurnishing homes is more exhausting than other projects.

"Emotionally, it felt good, physically, I was tired," explained Stephen
