The Airdrie Xtreme narrowly avoided a big come back from Red Deer.

On Sunday (February 12th) The Xtreme were on the road to face the Red Deer Chiefs and came out scoring immediately.

Jett Jones got the first goal less than a minute in and were followed quickly by goals from Nikolas de Beurs and Jared Miller.

Paton Rothenbusch scored the final goal of the 1st period as the Xtreme had control of the game before Red Deer came back.

The Chiefs made it 4-3 by the middle of the third, but the Xtreme held their ground and captured the win.

The team now has their sights set on the first round of the playoffs which start on February 15th against Lethbridge.
