After tying their opening game of the John Reid Memorial Tournament yesterday (January 18th), the Airdrie Xtreme made sure that didn't happen today.

Keegan Slaney scored the first and last goal of the game as the Xtreme beat down the Sherwood Park Flyers 10-4 in their second game of the tournament.

Tristan Zandee scored a goal and an assist and was MVP of the game while Colton Koran's efforts gave him the Heart and Hustle honour.

The Xtreme's defence was also impressive as they only allowed 17 shots on net.

With only one game left in their round robin, the Xtreme hope to score their way to the playoff round as they face OHA Penticton tonight (January 19th) at 7:45.
