The Airdrie Xtreme are on the verge of advancing to the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League Provincial Final following a 4 - 2 victory over the Calgary Bisons last night (March 6).

The win gives the Xtreme a two games to one lead in the best of five series with game four coming up tonight in Airdrie.

Brett Moravec, Craig Armstrong, Josh Davies, and Hayden Moffat scored for Airdrie in last night's game.

It was the first game of the series that didn't go to multiple overtime periods.

Tonight's all-important game four gets underway at 7:15 pm in the Ron Ebbesen Arena in Airdrie.

The winner of this series will advance to meet the St. Albert Sabres in the Provincial Championship.  The Sabres eliminated the PAC Saints in three straight games, capping off their victory with a 7 - 2 win on Monday night.
