The San Jose Sharks and Airdrie goaltender Aaron Dell, celebrated a win last night as the Calgary Flames and former Airdrie Xtreme hockey player Dillon Dube, racked up a loss.

The flames dropped their second straight at the Saddledome, falling 3-1 to the Northern California team.

Dell started in 22 out of 25 games this season for the Sharks and has a 10-10-2 record allowing 62 goals and making 716 saves.

Tuesday night, Dell made 30/31 saves, two of those were shots by Dube, However it was Johnny Gaudreau who scored the lone goal for the Flames. Dell was named the first star of the game.

Dube has scored 4 goals and added 6 assists in the 29 games he’s played with the Flames this season.

The game wasn’t the only thing Calgary lost though, Flames captain Mark Giordano went out with an injury in the second period. The defenceman appeared to have injured his right leg. It’s unclear if he will return to the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Nashville Predators.

“It's potentially a huge loss,” said Flames interim head coach Geoff Ward. “We'll worry about things as they unfold. Right now it's all speculation, so we'll wait and see what the doctors say and we'll go from there."

Following Thursday night’s home game, the Flames will head out for a road trip starting in Vancouver on Saturday, followed by stops in San Jose, L.A. and Anaheim.
