The Airdrie CFR Bisons may be doing their best impersonation of Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz this weekend.

Clicking their skates together (since the Bisons wouldn't be caught dead in ruby slippers) and saying, "there's no place like home....there's no place like home."

After playing twice on the ice of the Ron Ebbesen Arena last weekend, the Bisons have another pair of home games this weekend, starting with tonight (January 12).

The Bisons will play host to the Lethbridge AAA Midget Hurricanes in an Alberta Midget Hockey League game getting underway at 7:00 pm.  The Hurricanes are just one point out of first place in the tight Chrysler Division of the league.  In fact, five teams are within four points of first.  The Bisons, who are seventh in the division, are just ten points behind the division-leading Calgary Buffaloes.

The weekend's second game goes tomorrow afternoon starting at 4:15 pm when the Knights of Columbus Pats supply the opposition.  The Pats are in ninth place in the Dodge Division and have just four wins and four ties to show for their 26 games this year.
