Airdrie Hockey player Zach Boychuk is staying in the Kontinental Hockey League, at least for now.

The 28-year-old is in training camp for HC Severstal in Cherepovets, Russia, hoping to land a spot on the team come the fall.

This would be the third team in the KHL for Boychuk after spending last season with HC Bratislavan in Slovakia and Sibir Novosibirsk the year before.

In the last two seasons in the KHL, Boychuk has scored 21 goals for 39 points.
