The good news in yesterday's (June 17) double header against the Lacombe Dodgers was the bats of the Airdrie Brewers seemed to have come to life.

The bad news is the Dodgers bats were just a bit livelier and they swept the twin bill at Chinook Winds Park.

The Brewers lost the opener by a score of 9 - 5 then dropped the night cap 15 - 13 in a slug fest.

The Brewers were getting their bats on the ball in the first game, but the hits didn't come in a timely fashion and they stranded a number of runners through the game.

The Brewers started the second game strong and were up early.  Both teams ran out of pitching in the game and some strong hitters took advantage on both sides, running up the score before the Dodgers prevailed.

Airdrie is 0 and 6 on the year and will look for their first win on Friday night when they travel to Red Deer to face the Razorbacks.  Game time is 6:30 pm.
