Local first line winger for the Edmonton Oilers Ty Rattie was injured during Thursday's game against the Boston Bruins and missed last nights game when the Nashville Predators shut out the Oilers 3-0.

Rattie was unable to finish the game against the Bruins and it looks unlikely he will play again for another week or two. He received a muscle injury that will need time to heal.

The Oilers, however, were forced to play on and barely squeaked by with a win in overtime against the Bruins but were not so lucky when the top-ranked Nashville Predators team came to Edmonton.

In a dominant performance, the Nashville defense shut out the injured Edmonton offense. There was little they could do against the elite defensive lineup.

There is no news on when Ty Rattie is returning, but the Oilers are set to play on Tuesday when they welcome Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburg Penguins.
