It was another busy weekend as all four Elite AA Lightning Men’s teams were in action.

The Peewee Red had the busiest schedule with two games winning both of them and making a statement in the process.

Kayl Thibault, Mitchell Patrick and Zackery Uphill had two goals each to help Peewee Red to a 9-3 win over the Okotoks Oilers Green on Saturday (September 29th)

Thibault had two more goals on Sunday to help Red to a 6-5 win over the Central Alberta Selects.

The Peewee White team didn’t have the same luck as they lost their only game of the weekend 5-1 to the Lethbridge Hurricanes Red. Owen Stephenson scored the only goal for Airdrie in that game.

The Bantam Lightning also had one game on the weekend and it was a close one. Dretyn Knox had a goal and assist but the Lightning fell 5-3 to the Medicine Hat Hounds.

Finally, the Midget Lightning went one and one in their weekend games. The first was an 8-3 loss to the West Central Tigers. They followed that up with a huge 5-1 win over the Wheatland Chiefs with Tanner Chapman notching a hat trick in that game.

All four teams hit the ice once again this weekend with games on Saturday and Sunday.
