The George McDougall Mustangs Boys basketball squad found the going tough at the just-completed Provincial 3-A Basketball Tournament in Cochrane. 

George McDougall returned from the tournament with a one and two record.

The Mustangs started against the W.R. Myers Rebels from Taber and pulled out a convincing 93 - 73 win.

They then went up against Edmonton Christian and held their own against the eventual provincial champions, losing by a 98 - 91 score, dropping the Mustangs to the Consolation Bracket.

In their final game, the Mustangs lost 74 - 61 to St. Joseph Catholic from Grande Prairie.

In the game for the provincial title, Edmonton Christian beat Camrose Composite 104 - 93.
