It's been a good 2019 playoffs for rookie Jake Neighbours in the Western Hockey League and it may have reached its peak last night (April 20).

Neighbours connected on the overtime winner 14:49 into the extra period to lift the Kings to a 4 - 3 victory over the home town Prince Albert Raiders.  The Edmonton win evens the Eastern Conference final series at a game apiece.

The Airdrie product also assisted on Edmonton's first goal of the night for a two-point game and was chosen the game's first star for his efforts.  It's the second time that Neighbours has been selected the first star during the Oil Kings playoff run.  Neighbours now has 4 goals and 7 assists in the playoffs.  

The series now shifts to Rogers Place in Edmonton for games three and four on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Vancouver has taken a 2 games to none lead in the Western Conference final.  Last night the Giants beat the Spokane Chiefs 4 - 2.
