While many in Airdrie were busy shovelling their driveways last week, members of the Nose Creek Swim Association were in Hawaii.

24 swimmers were in the city of Kona for a training camp held every two years by the Nose Creek Swimmers.

The camp was also a final tuneup for five local swimmers who are taking part in the upcoming Western Canadian Championships in Victoria.

They include Para Swim Champion Alex Sharpe, Michael Schaan, Reid Glatz, Keegan Brown and Nicholas Taylor.

The Western Canadian Competition starts tomorrow (April 12th) and wraps up on April 15th.
