The Airdrie Irish might have wanted to be stuck in a blizzard, or earthquake or some other form of natural disaster to keep them at home yesterday (June 16).

Instead, the only natural disasters they ran into were wearing St. Albert Stars jerseys.

The Irish travelled to the city near Edmonton yesterday to play their fourth Alberta Football League game this season and received a thorough pounding, falling 55 - 0 to the Stars.

After a strong start to the season where they won their first two games, Airdrie has been outscored 103 to seven in their last two losses and now have a record of 2 and 2.

The team will try to regroup and get ready for a home encounter next Saturday, June 23rd when they'll face the perennial powerhouse Fort McMurray Monarchs at Genesis Field.
