School started following the Christmas break this week and so did play in the Rocky View High School Basketball League as action resumed for boy's clubs last night.

In Junior Varsity play one of the two Airdrie teams in action came out on top with the George McDougall Mustangs stopping Bow Valley 69 - 34.

The W.H. Croxford Cavaliers didn't fare as well as they dropped a 54 - 46 decision to Cochrane, handing the Cavs their first loss of the season.

In the other game, it was Beiseker stopping Springbank 59 - 46.

The Junior standings have Cochrane, W.H. Croxford, and Bert Church all tied with four points.  Cochrane has only played two games and is the last remaining unbeaten team.  Springbank and George McDougall both have 1 and 2 records while Bow Valley is winless in three games.

In Senior play, Chestermere beat Bert Church 86 - 66 in a battle of previously undefeated teams.  Cochrane disposed of W.H. Croxford 94 - 65 in the other game.

Chestermere is now alone atop the league standings with a 4 and 0 record.  Bert Church is next at 2 and 1 as is Cochrane.  W.H. Croxford is 1 and 2 for the year while George McDougall and Springbank are still looking for their first win.

Tonight, the girls see action in RVS play.
