The Rocky View Silvertips Tier-1 team held an exhibition game last night (April 11th) as they get ready for the 2018 season.

Before their match against the Calgary Chill, both teams formed a circle at the centre of the floor and held a moment of silence to honour the victims of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash.

Silvertips GM Todd Halliday says one of the victims, Dana Brons, volunteered her time with the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League for the Saskatchewan SWAT.

Due to time constraints, the game only went two periods, with the Chill coming out on top 11-8.

The Silvertips have two more exhibition games before the regular season begins, one goes tonight with the another taking place on April 17th.
