After a tough preliminary round that saw all three of their games decided by one goal, Team Alberta, with two local products on their roster, begins the Canada Games qualifying round tonight (February 20).

Team Alberta with Keagan Slaney and Craig Armstrong who are both former members of the Airdrie Xtreme, take on New Brunswick in a game at 7:30 pm in Red Deer's Centrium Arena.

Alberta made it through Pool "B" in first place with a record of two wins and one overtime loss.  Armstrong scored twice in their two wins over Manitoba and B.C.  Their only blemish came in their first game of the round robin where they fell to Saskatchewan in OT.

New Brunswick went winless in their three games in Pool "A".
