So, they are human after all.

The lone perfect record among Alberta hockey teams came to an end in the 19th game of the season for the Airdrie Thunder.

The Coaldale Copperheads dumped the Thunder 4 - 2 last night (November 16) at the Ron Ebbesen Arena, dropping Airdrie's record to 18 and 1 this season in the Heritage Junior Hockey League.

A former member of the Thunder helped do in Airdrie last night.  Jared Bainbridge, the HJHL Player of the Week scored for the Copperheads.

Brett LeGrandeur and Tristan Paquette had the Airdrie goals.

The Thunder will look to start a new winning streak when they travel to Blackfalds tomorrow for a 3:30 pm game against the Wranglers.

In other league action last night, the Cochrane Generals travelled to High River and came away with a 4 - 2 win over the Flyers and the Mountainview Colts were swamped by the Stettler Lightning 8 - 0.

Both Cochrane and Mountainview are back in action tonight with the Gens travelling to Stettler for a game against the Lightning while the Colts will try to rebound from last night's setback when they host the Medicine Hat Cubs.

Game time is 8:00 pm at the Didsbury Recreation Complex.
