Two of the three Airdrie clubs that were in action yesterday (October 4) in the Rocky View High School Football League came away winners while the other one came oh so close.

All three teams were on the road with the W.H. Croxford Cavaliers playing in Chestermere where they handed the Lakers a 40 - 22 setback.  It was the Cavs second win against three losses this season while the Lakers drop to 1 and 4.

In Cochrane, the Bow Valley Bobcats hosted the Bert Church Chargers who scored a 14 - 0 win for their third victory of the season.  Bow Valley is still winless in their five games.

The George McDougall Mustangs lost a heartbreaker against the Springbank Phoenix, falling by a 10 - 9 score.  It was the second consecutive loss for the Mustangs after starting the season with three straight wins.  Springbank improves their record to 4 and 1, second in the league to the undefeated Cochrane Cobras.
