Two area players are still alive in the Western Hockey League Playoffs and will begin Round Three tonight (April 20).

Zachary Cox from Balzac hits the road with his Lethbridge Hurricane teammates for game one of their series against Swift Current.

The Canes have only lost two games in their first two series against Red Deer and Brandon while the Broncos have been pushed to the limit in their two series wins against Regina and Moose Jaw.

Cox has contributed a pair of goals in the nine games he's appeared in.

The other series has the Tri-Cities Americans, with Cochrane's Connor Bouchard in the lineup, travelling to Everett, Washington to meet the Silvertips.

The Americans have breezed through the first two rounds with four-game sweeps of Kelowna and Victoria.  Everett also hasn't been pushed very hard in the playoffs, taking both series against Seattle and Portland in five games.
