The Airdrie Xtreme travelled to Red Deer yesterday (February 9) where they faced a stiff test against the first place team in the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League's Ram South Division.

Those first place Rebels handed Airdrie a 7 - 1 setback.  Owen Desilets was the only member of the Xtreme who managed to beat Red Deer's goaltender.

The young Xtreme fall to 10 - 17 and 3 this season while the Rebels improve to 21 - 4 and 3.

The Xtreme are back on the ice this afternoon as they return home to the Ron Ebbesen Arena to host the Calgary Bisons in a game that starts at 4:15 pm.  The Bisons hold down the top spot in the Challenger South Division with a 21 - 5 and 3 mark.

Before that game, there's more top-notch hockey action at the Ron Ebbesen when the Airdrie AAA Midget CFR Bisons entertain the Grand Peace Storm.

The Bisons will be out to keep their record above the .500 mark.  Heading into the game they sit at 15 - 14 and 3.  The Storm are fourth in the Northern Division.

The game gets underway at 1:30 pm.
