On Saturday (November 4), the Airdrie Food Bank held their annual Stuff-A-Bus event.

General Manager Quinn Donaldson said the day was a great success.

"The day went really well. We partnered with Co-op for that and we had a successful day of people putting groceries on the bus as well as making cash donations."

Donaldson said this year's event actually brought in more money than last year.

"We brought in about $1,500 worth of cash and food donations that day, but that was just the total of the value of the food and the cash that we received."

Donaldson explained that historically, they've also collected donations at the cash registers. She was not able to say if anything was raised that way this time around.

According to Donaldson, the event was successful entirely because of everyone that stopped by the bus.

"We couldn't do the work we do without the support of the community, so that's everyone that stopped by and donated that day or donates at any point in time. We're very happy to have the support that we do have and we appreciate that because it goes a long way towards helping those in our community."

Donaldson said one item they still need after the event is baby formula, particularly Enfamil, Alimentum and Nutramigen as well as any soy based formula.
